Summer 2013 Swim Lessons
WEEKDAY AND EVENING LESSONS at 10:00 AM OR 5:30 PM
Levels: Tadpoles through Dolphins
Monday through Thursday (except the week of July 5th)
Session I: June 17, 18, 19, 20 and June 24, 25, 26, 27
Session II: July 15, 16, 17, 18 and July 22, 23, 24, 25
Session III: July 29, 30, 31 Aug 1 and Aug 5, 6, 7, 8
SATURDAY LESSONS
Session I: June 8, 15, 22,29, July 13, 20, 27, and Aug 3 9 AM or 10 AM
Fees: First Session per Child= $40(M) $50(All Others)
$5 Discount for second session or for those registering a second child
$8 Discount for third session or for those registering a third child.
Tadpoles: Group lessons begin at this level. Blowing bubbles, paddling, floating on belly and back, and the basics of freestyle are taught.
Angel Fish: At this level, children are “weaned” from swim belts. They are taught to float, to roll from front to back, to tread water, and to swim with alternating leg and arm movements.
Clown Fish: The jellyfish float, the tuck float, and rolling from back to front and front to back with direction change are among the skills taught at this level. Rhythmic breathing is introduced.
Stingray: Swimmers at this level will learn the sitting dive, various floating positions, the front crawl, the dolphin kick, and the elementary backstroke.
Dolphin: Dives, treading water, front and back crawl, survival floating, flip turns, and the elementary backstroke and butterfly are taught.
Baby Fish I and II classes are for children ages 6 – months to 3 years and a loving adult. Our instructors will sing and play with your child and teach you how to make your child feel comfortable in the water. You will learn the fundamentals of water safety and your child will learn to wear a water belt.
Baby Fish I is for children ages 6 to 12 months. The loving adult will be in the water with their child.
Baby Fish II is designed for children ages 13 months through 3 years. The parent will be in the water with their child.
