SPECIAL NOTICE  HS Swim Pract 12:30-2  on Monday Feb 19


Winter Swim Season has arrived and, as our veteran swimmers know, that means there will be fewer hours for lap swim and free swim. The Danville Dolphins have begun their season so the pool is closed weekdays from 4pm until 5:30pm from now until Thursday, Nov 16.

On Friday, Nov 17th, DASD Varsity Swim Team practice begins, so from that date until Through early March, the early evening hours are as follows:

Mon: Laps & Open Swim beginning at 7:30 pm
Tues: Laps begin at 7:30 pm – No Open Swim
Wed: Laps begin at 6:00 pm – No Open Swim until 7:30 pm
Thurs: Laps begin at 7:30 pm – No Open Swim
Fri: Laps & Open Swim begin at 6:00 pm

The pool will be closed on the following Saturdays from 11:00 am until 4:30 for Swim Meets:
Dec 2, Dec 16, Jan 6, Jan 27

Danville Dolphins Swim Meets

12/2, 12/16, 1/6. 1/27   Pool will be closed from 11:45 AM to about 4 pm each of these days.

Sunday 2/4  Away meet – pool will be open from 4:30 to 6:30

Danville HS Swim meets

Home swim meets 12/8, 12/12, 12/19 , 1/9, 1/16, 1/25, 1/30, 2/6   Pool will close from 3:30 to 7:30

Away swim meets 12/16, 12/26, 1/3, 1/20, 2/24, 2/28, 3/1, 3/16, 3/17  Pool will be available during the HS normal practice time


DACC Pool Rules:

Obey the Lifeguard.

Absolutely no running on deck.

On the diving board, no running and one bounce

A child who can not swim or who is wearing a swimbelt MUST be accompanied into the water by an adult.

No flotation devices in deep water. A child who is swimming in deep water may be asked to demonstrate his/her ability to swim. The lifeguard will ask your child to swim from the diving board to the ladder without assistance. If he or she cannot do so, he/she will be asked to return to shallow water.

Some children who are very young and all children who are not potty-trained must wear swim diapers. One loose-stool accident in the pool may require us to close the pool for 48 hours.

Children who are ill with a fever and/or stomach virus should NEVER be sent to swim lessons or to swim for recreation.

Lap swimmers must be willing to share a lane during busy hours.

No street clothes are permitted in the pool.
