American Red Cross Lifeguard Training

The Danville Area Community Center certifies lifeguards in the Spring of the year.

Candidates must be at least 15 years of age, must  pass pretest, and attend all classes

Lifeguard Recertifications and CPR Recertifications may be scheduled with the aquatics director. There is a fee for recertification.

2013 Class

April 6 and 7, AND April 13 and 14 from 11 AM to 5 PM.  More time may be required depending on class size.

Cost is $225 for members and $275 for non-members.  Additional fee for retesting.

Registration is required by March 30.

Required Pre- test testing is Friday, April 5, 6PM  Pretest includes 300 yd swim, 2 minute tread water using only legs, Swim timed event (1 min 40 seconds to swim to 10 foot level, dive down to retrieve ten pound weight and return to start point and exit water.)
