Everyone refers to the Danville Area Community Center as either the DACC or the “rec.” At our facility, we have something for everyone – babies, children, teens, and adults.
The DACC houses the only indoor, heated pool in Montour County, as well as a full-sized gymnasium, a racquetball court, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, fitness/wellness classes, youth programs, a preschool and lots of special activities.
If you’re new to our community, you might want to check out our babysitting service – which is a members-only privilege – or enroll your children in swim lessons or junior basketball league.
If you need a little exercise in your life, we can help you with either programs or equipment.
Have you always wanted to learn to swim laps? We can teach you.
Is the children’s grandmother living with you? We have programs designed especially for seniors. One of them, Silver Sneakers, is free to GHP Gold Classic, High Mark Blue Cross, and HOP members!
If you have never been to the DACC, your first visit is always free. Just mention to the front desk attendant that this is your first visit and you would like to try a fitness class, swim laps, or use the fitness equipment.
Our community center is not municipally supported, so we do charge a membership fee. We offer a variety of payment options and proudly provide a sponsorship program for those who require assistance with membership fees.
Most programs, such as swim classes, art class, preschool, yoga, and basketball league require an additional fee. If non-members are able to register for the class, there will be a discounted rate for members. Only members are permitted to use the fitness equipment.
If you would like to visit the DACC, please call 275-3001 and tell us you’re on your way. Someone will be available to show you around and answer any questions you might have about our facility, our classes or our membership opportunities.
The DACC is located just off of Route 11, next to the high school stadium. To reach us, travel north on Route 11 and turn right at the traffic light onto State Hospital Drive. After you turn, the new Danville Primary Center will be on your right. Turn right between the school and the cemetery and proceed to the stop sign. At the stop sign, turn left and swing out around the parking lot. At the T in the road, turn right. The DACC will be the first left turn. We are waiting for you to come and visit us!
