About the DACC

DACC Swimming Pool

Everyone refers to the Danville Area Community Center as either the DACC or the “rec.”  At our facility, we have something for everyone – babies, children, teens, and adults.

If you have never been to the DACC, your first visit is always free.  Just mention to the front desk attendant that this is your first visit and you would like to give us a try!  We will gladly give you a tour, let you try a fitness class,  take a dip in the pool(schedule permitting), or introduce you to the fitness equipment.   Please give us a call at 570-275-3001 and tell us you’re on your way so we can make sure someone is available to assist you when you arrive.

The DACC houses. . .

  • Six-lane, heated indoor swimming pool
  • Full-sized basketball gymnasium
  • Two Fitness Equipment Rooms
  • Fitness Studio
  • Raquetball Court
  • Babysitting Room
  • Gathering Room

DACC Swim LessonsIf you’re new to our community, you might want to check out our babysitting service – which is a members-only privilege – or enroll your children in swim lessons or junior basketball league.

At our Center, we offer fitness classes and programs for many levels and interests.  For example, we offer a beginner’s fitness class and the international CrossFit program.  The DACC also offers programs designed especially for seniors. One of them, Silver Sneakers, is free to GHP Gold Classic, High Mark Blue Cross, and HOP members!

Our community center is not municipally supported, so we do charge a membership fee. We offer a variety of payment options and proudly provide a Sponsorship Program for those who require assistance with membership fees.

Your DACC membership will include the use of the pool and gym during open hours, the use of the racquetball court, and the equipment rooms.  There are more thean 45 fitness classes that are also included at no additional charge.  With your membership, class and program fees are usually discounted for members and some classes or programs are offered to “members only.”
